In a recent interview, Ranbir Kapoor revealed that veteran actor Randhir Kapoor is suffering from an early stage of dementia. He added, “Art crosses the boundaries of medical conditions… And a good piece of storytelling really embodies that.” Sharmaji Namkeen, which was released on Amazon Prime on 31 March, is actor Rishi Kapoor’s last film. After Rishi’s demise in 2020, Paresh Rawal stepped in to complete the film.

The film directed by Karan Malhotra also stars Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt. The actor is set to have a busy 2022 as his three other films are also slated to release. An untitled film with Luv Ranjan co-starring Shraddha Kapoor will be out in March next year close to Shamshera. Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s second Hindi project after Kabir Singh called ‘Animal’ will be out on Dusshera 2022. The film will see Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in lead roles. Ranbir’s fourth film — Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’, has been in the making for at least 3 years and we hear, it might just see the light of day next year as well. The film stars Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan alongside Ranbir.
