Me Vasantrao has been selected for the International Competition at the prestigious 52nd International Film Festival (IFFI). Geo Studios is based on the famous classical singer Pandit Vasantrao Deshpande. Is one of the two Indian films selected to compete with the International Film and will be screened on November 23 during the Goa Festival.

Story of Me Vasantrao

Vasantrao Deshpande is a big name in the field of drama music. Along with Natyasangita, he also sang for Pedgaon’s Shahane, Gulacha Ganpati, Dudhbhat, Avaghachi Sansar. Vasantrao Deshpande passed away on July 30, 1983. But the songs he sang are still immortal today.

Nipun Dharmadhikari is bringing a movie called ‘Mee Vasantrao’ based on the life of a young director Vasantrao Deshpande to the audience. In this movie, Vasantrao Deshpande has been played by Ameya Wagh in his early life and Rahul Deshpande in the latter. Interestingly, Rahul Deshpande is the grandson of Vasantrao Deshpande.
