KK (singer) was born on 23-08-1968 in Delhi, Indian as Krishnakumar Kunnath. He was an Indian Singer, Playback Singer, Songwriter, Musician & Composer who sang in many languages including Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Gujarathi, Assamese, Bengali & Marathi. After his Bollywood debut, he capitulated to the limelight. Sony Music signed a contract with KK in 1999 and released his first album, “Pal”. KK was famous for his versatile singing skills and with the high-pitched voice that he possesses, his singing skills had been a revolutionary change in the industry. After pursuing a bachelor’s from Kirori Mal College in Delhi, KK had a short stint of around eight months as a marketing associate in the hotel industry. He left his job and shifted to Mumbai. A.R. Rehman gave him the first break as Singer. He made his singing debut with the song “College Style” in the Tamil film Kadal Desam in 1996. KK with his Family
He was born to Kunnath Kanakavalli and C. S. Nair. He married his childhood friend Jyothy Krishna in 1991. The couple was blessed with a daughter named Tamara Kunnath and a son named Nakul Krishna Kunnath. His son Nakul has made his debut as a singer with a song titled “Masti” from the album Humsafar in 2008.
The career of KK
In 1999, he released his first album, “Pal.” The Star Screen Award for Best Solo Record was given to this album. “Humsafar,” his second album, was released in 2008 after a nine-year hiatus. The song ‘Chhod Aaye Hum Woh Galiya’ from the film Maachis (1996)’ gave him his first break as a playback singer in Bollywood.‘Tadap Tadap Ke Is Dil’ from ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999)’ was the song that launched K.K. as a popular vocalist. It was one of his most successful songs. K.K. received several offers as a result of the song. K.K. has already sung over 3,500 jingles. K.K. also sang the title songs for TV shows such as Just Mohabbat and Hip Hip Hurray. In 2005, K. served as a judge on Sony TV’s reality talent show “Fame Gurukul.” Rise Up – Colors of Peace, an international album including songs written by Turkish poet Fetullah Gulen and sung by performers from 12 nations, was released in 2013. For the CD, KK recorded a song called “Rose of My Heart.” The Indie Band “BANDISH” released their second self-titled album in 2010. Death of KK
Singer KK, popularly known as Krishnakumar Kunnath, passed away on Tuesday night at the age of 53. He was performing at an event in Kolkata. He was brought to the CMRI hospital and declared dead. He performed in the iconic Nazrul Mancha auditorium till 8:30 pm. He suddenly fell ill and returned to his hotel. When his condition deteriorated, he was rushed to the CMRI hospital in Kolkata, where he was declared dead. KK had performed in two back-to-back shows in Kolkata in the past two days. His family has been contacted, and his wife and his son, and his daughter will fly into Kolkata Wednesday morning.
