The accidental death of actor-activist Deep Sidhu
Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu, notorious as the main suspect in last year’s Republic Day violence, was killed in a truck crash on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway near Kharkhoda in Haryana’s Sonipat district on Tuesday evening, police said. There was also Deep Sidhu’s girlfriend Reena in the crashed car. But after the accident, Reena’s airbag was opened, so she survived.

Sidhu was arrested on February 9 last year in connection with the Republic Day violence at the Red Fort during a farmers’ tractor parade against three Centre’ agricultural laws.
