The college drama is directed by Vijay Kumar Rajendran, who is making his directorial debut in the film, will also play the role of Aulaniti’s friend in the film and Vijay Kumar Rajendran is also a famous Youtuber.
A popular actor and director Karu Palanippan will be seen in a pivotal role in this. The film also stars Charandeep, Thalaivasal Vijay, Ramesh Khanna, Uma Riaz and Aditya Kathir in supporting roles.

Story of D Block
The story is based on a group of college students in the D block of the college’s ladies’ hostel and a horrific incident that took place there.

Director Nelson Dilip Kumar, Lokesh Kanagraj Venkat Prabhu launched this trailer on 17th January 2022 at 11:30 pm. This trailer of the college-based thriller drama depicts the horrific events that took place in the campus hostel.
Production of D Block:
In February 2020, director Vijay Kumar Rajendran (Eruma Sani fame youtuber) announced to direct the film. Cinematographer Arvind Singh played the lead role under the banner MNM Films. This is Arulnithi’s fifth project with Arvind Singh after Damonte Colony (2015), Arthu Sinam (2016), Iravakuku Ayram Kangal (2018) and K-13 (2019). Avantika Mishra is playing the lead role opposite Arulnithi in the film.
Apart from directing, Vijay Kumar Rajendran also played the lead role in the film. Since Arulnithi is playing the role of a college student, she lost weight in preparation for the role. The songs of the film have been composed by Ron Ethan Yohan and Kaushik Krish. The title of the film and the first poster of the film was announced by director Pandiraj through his Twitter account on July 21, 2021.
In January 2022, the film was certified “U / A” by the Central Board of Film Certification.
